The festivities of the holidays are not the only reason to spread joy. All throughout the year, patients send in their thanks to the staff who looked after them, or a loved one, and praise them for the care that they received. We want to share some of the wonderful feedback with you…

Thank you to everyone who looked after me and willow so well in what was turning into a stressful situation. The c-section team was not only brilliant at keeping you calm when you’re in so much pain, but was also so kind and just lovely. Not once did I feel scared in that room by myself. And when things calmed down it was nice to be so included in the care I was about to receive. Every part of my birth experience this time was excellent, and everyone was so lovely.
And to the staff on Argyll Ward, you all work so hard, and are always happy to see and be helpful. I wish I could find your more support for discharges and in generally because you’re all doing the jobs of 3 people and the care I received was always excellent. Thank you again. – Dominique C

To the staff in Postbridge, Just a thank you to every single member of staff
Honestly can’t fault anything the kindness and reassurance the staff gave settled my anxiety while awaiting to be taken down.it was a long wait

Nothing was too much for the staff. I stayed over night due to coming out of surgery late and feeling very rough but the staff were amazing. Wasn’t pushy to get me out, checked on me constantly and forever asking if they could do anything or get me any pain relief.

The breakfast and tea lady was also so kind and caring.

The staff in ED in recovery 2 really went the extra mile for me. He was incredibly supportive when I was an emotional wreck! He sat with me and spoke to me to keep me company whilst my husband had to go elsewhere, provided pain relief and went above and beyond to get me a bed on Postbridge ward. Ed’s wife was on the ward too and she was equally as lovely! What a team they make. I was so grateful as I was emotional, in pain, scared about the procedure, and missing my son, and he made me feel so much better. You really are incredible at what you do, thank you so much! To the day patient ward staff at Tavistock,thank you to all the nurses, anaesthetist and doctor who performed my surgery, you are all very professional and have an excellent bedside manner, thank you all for putting me at ease and for all your hard work put into everything you do. – Craig D P

To Sophie Robinson, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Rowan House. I’m sorry this is rather late as you saw me (and my wife) in November 2024 and had some decorating to do before my WLE at the end of November. I just wanted to express our gratitude to you for carefully explaining the further treatment necessary, answering all of our questions and putting our minds at rest. You also provided me with a wealth of printed information including a booklet produced by Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you very much indeed. – Peter H-J
