Just want to say a huge thank you to all the lovely ladies in the NICU who cared for our babies Harper & Billie. They are both thriving at home and this is all down to you guys! No words will ever express how truly grateful Adam & I are for everything you did for us.

To Tavistock hospital, laparoscopy surgical unit: Thank you very much for your welcoming and calming attitude you all displayed! After years of waiting for a diagnosis and losing faith in certain areas of the NHS, it was amazing to have that restored by you all! I would also like to say a more specific thankyou to everyone who helped perform my surgery and to the very wonderful (and down to earth) member of staff who showed me to my bed and even turned the tv on for me! (Sorry that I didn’t catch your name!) You were all amazing!

To Joel (Pryn?) Obstetrician and Victoria (Vicky) Anaesthetist at my planned c-section: I wanted to say a big thank you to you both for looking after me last Thursday when you delivered my daughter Piper Alice Rose.

Meeting you both before the surgery was lovely and I appreciated your positive and calm communication styles that helped keep me calm when I was feeling very nervous.

Joel, you bought my daughter into the world, which we will never forget. You were accommodating of my husband taking a photo when Piper was born and although the feeling of the surgery is disconcerting, I never felt scared as your voice on the other side of the curtain was always calm and professional.

Vicky, I appreciated your conversation and humour throughout and your calm presence was so reassuring, especially when I described how I was feeling and you either told me it was normal or made adjustments to compensate.

Piper is my 4th and last baby and I will always remember you both for being such a huge part of bringing her into the world. Thank you so much!

Best wishes

–  Victoria M
